CamFans - War Stories Reivers (Updated with oriinal art)
War Stories The Reivers was part of a series of one-shots written by Garth Ennis.
During World War II, the Germans invading Egypt have become sick of harassment by a unit of elite S.A.S.-trained soldiers. The Brits constantly mangle German air operations in the desert, and in their spare time blow off steam in various Cairo watering holes. Lt. Bill Nixon is their leader, a Scotsman who fancies himself a Reiver, guerilla fighters who plundered the border of Scotland and England for hundreds of years. Bill is constantly sparring with his second in command, Johnny, a man who just wants to kill Germans and get his unit back home in one piece. When the unexpected opportunity for a dangerous mission presents itself, Bill and Johnny argue over the fate of their men and the wisdom of taking the road to certain destruction.
Interesting fact - the story was largely inspired by Cam Kennedy's father in law's real live adventures, which he shared for Garth to incorporate into the story.
