PUNISHER BLOOD ON THE MOORS (pencil/ink/colour )

Original 64 page graphic novel, published by Marvel as a hardcover in 1991, written by Alan Gran & John Wagner, with painted art by Cam Kennedy.

Cam Kennedy first worked on the Marvel comic book character Frank Castle, better known as the ' Punisher ' in his 1991 collaboration with writers John Wagner & Alan Grant, ' Blood on the Moors '. The graphic novel, finds the Punisher visiting Scotland to break up a plot by drug dealers to smuggle cocaine using the Scottish whisky industry. The book features sixty-two pages of pencilled, inked and hand painted, full colour original art by Cam Kennedy.

Blood on the Moors is the tale of two souls haunted by the memories of innocent loved ones whose murders they were unable to prevent. One is a modern man of flesh, blood and firepower. The other, born in an ancient misty past, of something far more ethereal, yet equally as deadly.

Each hunts an international consortium of drug dealers with an equal passion and fury. But Frank Castle, aka the Punisher, finds his target obscured by more than intrigue when his path crosses that of the powerful and mysterious spectre known as The Clansman.

These two kindred souls find themselves at odds with each other over the mobsters who should be their common enemy. Motives, actions and reality are concealed as the cold grey Scottish fog masks contrasts -- blurring similarities and hiding differences.

The chaos that ensues builds to a bloody climax at an eerie castle where all the warring parties clash -- proving that the way of the revenger, both modern and ancient, is bittersweet and quite eternal.

Colour Pages:

Colour pages are in a similar style to Star Wars Dark Empire and are generally painted using Rotring waterproof watercolour inks similar to acrylic ink with touches of gouache paint. These paints age well and the colours still remain vibrant 25 or so years on. These pages really need to be seen in person to be believed!

The original art pages do not include the lettering / speech balloons.

Below is a gallery of pages that Cam still has available.
